These buildings are from the early
period of the housing construction program of the German Democratic Republic.
Due to a loss of residents, in particular in the age group between 25 and 50,
houses are being “built back”. Actually, with trees and greenery catching up
with the huge Apartment blocks (11 stories, 10 entrances per house, 3
apartments per floor and entrance), this area is quite nice thirty years
